Yesterday our ward had its annual Primary Program, which is always a treat. Kids are funny, they just start saying things, or they get shy, or they are waving at their parents, it's entertaining. And it is always good to remember the innocent spirit of children, it was great. But the absolute best part of Sacrament Meeting yesterday was looking at the clock. They started singing a song that was listed in the program as the closing song, and the congregation was supposed to sing a verse of it, so Clark nudges me to get the program so we can have the words. I am thinking, wow, it's the end of the meeting already? Time just flew by! I glanced at the clock, and it indicated that we were near the end of the meeting. Then I did a double take. The second hand of the clock was moving quite rapidly, just going around and around. Time really was flying! Turns out they were just singing the song in the middle of the program, as well as at the end. Turns out we still had another half hour. And it turns out that song, while it felt like it was only about 3-4 minutes long, was 45 minutes long according to that clock. Now that is a long song. Even better than discovering this fact for ourselves was watching the row in front of us look at the clock and realize what was going on. And then the row behind us. I was dying, it was so funny.
