New Poll - Mobile
First off, thanks to all who voted on the poll last week, I feel like we got some really good input. And the comments were great too! Lots of good advice. Now I've got a new poll up about yet another baby item - the mobile. We don't have one as of yet. They do sell a very cute ladybug one at Target that would go great with her room. So, the question is: Is a mobile for the crib necessary/helpful? Go vote!

I only used my mobile sporadicly (sp?) but I know Carrie and Lauren loved loved loved theirs. Some music making something would probably be good. I think that I mostly used mine to entertain the babies while awake and I was doing some little chore in the room.
I dont think Hailey was really ever in her crib enough to care much about the mobile. I don't remmeber actually using it for her that often. Hence I'd say save the money and don't buy it. Unless you just want it to look cute in her room. Just my opinion.
I think it depends on the baby sometimes. Every night I wind up Sarah's mobile to help her relax and go to sleep. I didn't use one much with the others though. Not very helpful, I know! :P
I am going to have to pass on the mobile. Although it will be a very cute decor item, I have horribly sleeping babies, and my one recommendation to you is to have bedtime be bedtime. That is of course until they are old enough to understand time a little bit. All the experts say to get a good bedtime routine down to get babies sleeping good and to me a mobile says play time. But that's just my opinion! You are the momma!
I should add that for getting the kids to sleep, we use big box fans. We have one in each bedroom and they are great for masking the noise of the house and creating white noise. We started using one for Amy when she was really little and it was a life saver!
