Prepare to be shocked: I've done something crafty.
I know, I pull out these things once in a while, and I amaze myself. Thanks to this awesome tutorial at pukingpastilles.com (and I'm sure you Harry Potter fans will agree, what a rad name!), I created a superhero cape. It was a birthday present for a 4-year-old, and I think it went over well. I know I would have LOVED to get a superhero cape for my 4th birthday. Or 24th birthday, whatever.
You wanna see? Ok:Superman! And because this is an AWESOME cape, it's reversible:
Holy cape, Batman! I love it! Julia, of course, had to demonstrate the awesomeness:
And you can make it for girls, as well, it's all in the pattern. I've been trying to think of other caped heroes all weekend, but I'm drawing a blank. Well, other than Super Grover, but I don't think that counts. Any thoughts?

Just to testify, I had a super hero cape as a young child, and I loved it. So I'm sure the 4-year-old was very excited. My mom called it my Wonder Woman cape (my hero at the time), but she doesn't actually have a cape. So I don't know if you can use that as an idea or not. I think she just put a "WW" on it or something to make it fit my imagination.
Super Grover totally counts.
The cape turned out super cute, and I agree with the previous poster, Super Grover totally counts. He may be the coolest super hero of them all.
There's a whole slew of caped super hero's mentioned in "The Incredibles" But they were only mentioned because of their unfortunate demise. So that's not much help. Does Storm have a cape?
And by the way I'd say that cape was masterfully done! what a cool idea!
awesome...I love it. I have to say that I can't show it to Brandon though because he will want me to make them for these 2 girls for Halloween...and I already have big plans for that. :) But I guess I don't have a costume for him or I yet... :)
Julia is soooo cute by the way.
My birthday is Sept 5th. My favorite Super Hero is Batman. I'm just sayin'...
