A Couple of Fogies

The scene: Monday night, our house. In trying to decide what to do after Julia went down for the night, I gave Clark a number of suggestions, and then awaited his response.

Shannon: "So, what do you want to do?"

Clark: "I dunno. Either play Scrabble or watch The Civil War documentary."

Hello, old age. I think we have arrived.

I wish Brett were "fogey" enough to want to sit down and watch a documentary with me on a regular basis. I barely want to watch anything else. We just barely watched Wall-e because I was never in the mood and Brett had to watch Prince Caspian on his own. I love the Chronicles of Narnia books, but I just can't bring myself to sit down for three hours and watch something like that. On the other hand, there are dozens of topics I'd love to explore through documentaries. Oh, and I listen to a lot of talk radio. What has happened to us?

That's funny. I love Scrabble, I hope that doesn't qualify you for 'old'. :)

Was this standard scrabble, or speed scrabble? 'Cause speed scrabble is in no way fogie-ish.
