Ella Walks!

About a month ago, my parents were here visiting (pictures from that will be forthcoming). We thought we'd start practicing walking with Ella, sending her back and forth between us in the hopes that she'd take a step on her own. She picked it up really fast. Like, after a day she was getting a good 4 or 5 steps in there before falling down. And now? Now, she walks everywhere. If she falls down, she'll stand right back up and keep on walking. No more crawling, no sir!

I've been meaning to post about this for a month, but I couldn't find the time to take a good video (because now I'm chasing after a toddler, ack!). I finally happened to get one with her walking, but it wasn't very good, and it sat here, unpublished, for another couple of weeks. Then I finally got a good one a week ago, and now I'm FINALLY going to post it. I'm a little slow, can you tell?

I realized yesterday that now I've got a toddler and a preschooler, instead of a baby and a toddler. It's all going so fast! But I am excited about every step these girls take toward independence.

Yay for Ella! Your kids become mobile so much faster than ours. I don't know how you do it. The more they move the harder it is to keep up. Good luck!

I love that walk! It's like she's too excited to keep her feet on the ground! I hope we get to see her again and get to know her before she's fully grown! :(
