I love Better Off Dead so much. And I'm so glad we got it for Christmas. But, as I watched it recently, I realized that I really can't recommend it to others. It's so random. And kind of weird. In more than one spot. But I love it, and I think it's hilarious! I could quote it all day. And, in fact, did so not very long ago.

Oh man - one of the best movies of all time! Just when I think I've got all its best quotes in my quoting repertoire, I go back and find something even more hysterical to quote all the time. "And to drink: Peru!" (hehe). It's true though - you almost have to watch "Better Off Dead" with the people you recommend it to so they will actually give it a chance. I made the mistake of showing the dumpster scene(where the black guy says "now that's a real shame when folks be throwin' away a perfectly good white boy like that") to a class where we were talking about "humor" once and I'm not sure anyone else thought it was funny.
